Based in Himbleton in Worcestershire, Action Shots specialise in sports and action photography including Dog Agility, Polocrosse, Football, Cricket, Rugby and all Equine events.

This is our walk in exhibition unit in which all the contact prints are displayed and orders are printed for you to take home on the day. This unit also holds our image display showing chosen photographs from previous events always a centre of attraction for people to view and talk. Depending on how busy we are, photographs are usually ready to collect within 30 minutes of ordering We can print up to 10 x 8 on site and 60 x 40 in office.

Dog Agility and Flyball are fast and exciting sports for both animals and owners.
We always thought horses were fast until we photographed our first agility show !

We attend and photograph around fifteen events each year and, if we don't manage to catch your dog in one of the rings, just ask and we'll arrange to do it at our jump and portrait set up at the side of our marquee.

We photograph a very wide range of Equestrian events including Polocrosse, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Polo, Dressage, Pleasure Rides, Mounted Games, Ponies in Hand etc. We have been the official Photographers to the United Kingdom Polocrosse Association for six years and this has allowed us to build up a vast library of images from what we consider to be undoubtedly the most exciting Equestrian sport of all.

Weddings form a large part of our work and our prices start at just £420:00 inclusive.
As well as the main album we offer these beautiful collages framed ready to hang as a permanent and highly visible memento of the special day. This one has the Bride's family garden as the background image along with all the guests and is overlaid with eight images chosen from the proofs.

Based near Worcester, we cover a wide area including Gloucestershire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, and Warwickshire. We also photograph village shows at Feckenham, Alvechurch, Hanbury, Inkberrow and Kenilworth.

Action Shots photograph all of these events and many more

Camera Equipment
We have used Canon equipment for the last ten years mainly because of their wonderful "Ultrasonic" lenses which, in our experience, focus faster and perform better than any other makes we have seen or tried; they are a real pleasure to use.
We have been 100% digital for almost five years and we use EOS 1D Mk.2 bodies which at 8 million pixels provide stunning image quality enabling us to enlarge up to 30 x 20 prints with faultless resolution and even up to 60 x 40 at a similar level of quality.
At outside events we print on site immediately using our Toshiba lap-top and Epson printer powered by a Honda EX7 generator.
For wedding and portrait work in our studio we use RAW image mode on the cameras which provides, in our opinion, images that are superior by far to 35 mm film for their sharpness and depth of colour. When converted from the camera to the computer as TIFF images these produce 49Mb files and the prints from these are truly outstanding.
Having been one of the first businesses to go digital we know and understand the advantages over film 100% and we would suggest that, if you still own any film camera equipment you sell it A.S.A.P. because, in our opinion, it will very soon be worth NOTHING!.
